INITIATIVES

We are developing a conservation plan for the Idaho Preserve location and neighboring lands. It will include conservation leasing and education to promote restoration, protection of stream and cutthroat trout habitat, sage grouse habitat, plantings of riparian gallery forest using native cottonwoods, wildlife friendly fencing, and monitoring. Emphasis will be placed on placing additional land into conservation easements. Partnerships with the National Forest and BLM will be pursued to facilitate riparian and aspen restoration and implement modified grazing management to restore native bunchgrasses in sage grouse nesting and brood-rearing areas.
